Sometimes you feel like the boss, sometimes you don’t. Or maybe you always feel like you have to be the boss. Why is this? A simple way to understand this is to use the principles of 5 element theory, as these elements exist in our space, they also exist within each of us. This connection is the answer to the question why some of us spring out of bed each morning, while others just drift along, why some of us HAVE to be in control and others grateful they are not. Understanding our true nature gives us the opportunity to express ourselves in a productive manner that is beneficial to all. Understanding our true nature gives us the support to be comfortable in our own skin and be proud of it too! Embrace your true essence for who you are, we love you because you are “you” – we do not want you to be anyone else.

I will also be speaking at the Awaken Fair on Sunday at the DoubleTree Hotel in Ft Lee NJ at 11:00 AM – Join me to discover your true nature.

 “We are what we think,
All that we are arises in our thoughts,
With our thought we make our world” The Buddha

It is a common thread from science to spirituality that our thoughts and feelings are so powerful that we can manifest our hearts desires. In order to make our desires manifest and be sustainable, we need to activate all senses as we rehearse our desired future.

How we direct our thoughts is the key. Let us begin by aligning with the seasons.

Moving into the season of autumn- a contracting energy of completion, a time of vision and focus – it is the perfect time to create our visions to rehearse our future. We begin connecting to our subconscious redirecting our thoughts. We can choose how we respond to what we feel; we can choose how we respond to what we notice.

First we become aware.

Second we notice.

Third we choose.

We may not control all of the things that happen in our life, but we do control how we choose to respond.  Let’s move from reacting to responding. Embrace the energy of this time of focus and vision. Connect to the clarity of mind this autumn season offers.

Our vision is clear; we are aware without distraction, notice what we feel.
Take a breath, notice the feeling, redirect a feeling of chaos or distraction to a feeling of focus, peace and calm. Here is a simple method to begin, practice focusing on your breath.

Take deep a breath in through your nose; follow your breath as it comes into your body, as it fills up your chest, your abdomen. Feel your body expanding. Smile.

As you exhale through your mouth, follow your breath as if leaves your body, relaxing into yourself, releasing. Smile.

Notice how you feel at that moment. This is just the beginning.

It Is More Than Just Your Words

Words… are your words aligned with who you are?

Are those words that you are thinking –

those words which you are speaking to yourself,
aligned with the words you consciously speak out loud?

I have found that I am not always specific when I talk to myself.

When I am specific – I get exactly what I ask for.

This past week, the universe sent me what it “thought” I was asking for… In the beginning of April I began saying to myself, “I need a vacation, time to just relax and do nothing” however I was not specific about how or where I wanted to do this, all I could “feel” when I talk to myself through words or thoughts, was being alone and doing nothing.

So guess what? Last Monday I awoke with a cold in my scratchy throat, exhausted and spent Monday through Thursday morning “lolling” in bed. Napping and just keeping to myself.. hmmm not the vacation I thought I was yearning for!

Almost one week and a half later, I am still clearing my throat, sniffling a bit but NOW imagining how lush it “feels” to luxuriate on a warm beach in the sun with a cool breeze, full of vibrant energy, walking along the shore, laughing and singing, holding hands with my special man… let’s see what these words will bring in the coming weeks!

Words, I love the words in this song:

“all you have to do is close your eyes and just reach out your hand”

can you imagine the feelings this evokes.. I can..

Words.. I am now more aware to have my words aligned inside & out, aligned with my feeling, inside & out

Feng Shui and Fabulous for Abundant Living Tip # 2

Remember, as we said last week, what we see is what we become, this week Tip # 2 talks about how our “stuff” can make us “feel”

  1. 1.      Love It or Lose It: If an item no longer serves a valuable purpose, let it go. When we hang on to things we do not love, we carry the energy of that item. This “stuff” saps up our valuable energy that we need to create and pursue new opportunities and distracts us from enjoying and embracing our glorious moments.

This also relates to what is going on in our cars, look at what you are driving around with .Our cars represent our ability to move forward. You wouldn’t want to feel like you are dragging this around or would you?

It only takes a moment to take a breath,

It only takes a moment to become inspired”

Feng Shui and Fabulous for Abundant Living Tip #1

It’s a bright new year, rather than make resolutions, why not open our awareness. In our fast past lives today, we are barely conscious of what is happening. Feng Shui principles help us create an environment for fabulous and abundant living. When we have a positive supportive environment, everything is possible!

Here is your first tip –

Create Fabulous Firsts: What we see is what we become whether we are conscious of it or not ~ We must Notice how we feel, all our “Firsts” should be “Fabulous.” Now, think about how it feels when coming into our homes, sitting at our desk, in our favorite chair, and waking up in the morning. The first thing we see sets the tone.

Have you noticed how you feel?
What is your experience?
I would love to hear from you.

It’s A Feeling Floating Day

I am floating ~ After the excitement of all the holiday celebrations, I am floating through this “watery wintery day” mesmerized by the snowflakes falling outside my window. I embrace this beautiful energy of winter, gliding through my day, enjoying just being, smiling and dreaming.

If you too are feeling dreamy, and find your motions today are more “Isadora Duncan ~ Flowing Lyrical Modern Dancer ~” rather than Charo! -Firey Hot & Spicy Cha Cha Cha!, allow yourself to be nourished by this lovely energy of water,  enjoy your daydreams, feel them, swirl them, feel the flow~

It only takes a moment to become inspired”

Embrace the Joys of the Season

Embrace the Joys of the Season,
Embrace Each Other.
Express your Love for One and Other,
These vibrations will reach all mankind, all living things.

We Are All Connected….
Thank you to all, the bright lights in my life, for
Reminding Me to Feel the Love,
Reminding Me to Embrace the Moments,
Inspiring me yet another day, I am so grateful.

My wish for all is that you Feel the Love Surrounding you,
Embrace each Joyful Moment, today, tomorrow and always,
with Peace in every Heart.

Enjoy A Glorious Holiday Season of Love, Peace & Joy
Embrace An Inspired Abundant 2013,

With Love and Laughter,
Lois

12.12.12 “You’ve Got A Friend”

Music makes my heart sing ~ how about you? What makes your heart sing? As most of you may be familiar with by now, sometimes I get a song in my mind.. that leads me to a theme for my weekly words, or maybe it is a thought or phrase that conjures up a song in my mind… I begin to sing a sentence or two.. usually something silly, and it brings me inspiration. My heart begins to sing.
Music can take us to places, experiences, moments we have felt before.. it can be so real, as if we are there right now. I can sometimes smell it, sense it, feel as though I am transported back in time. The coolest experiences are the ones that go way back!
Well there is something about James Taylor, Sweet Baby James… ahhh Junior High – Andries Hudde in Brooklyn, my friends and I would sing all the time, in the halls at school, at lunchtime we would find a place to sit and sing (on benches in the backyard of a nearby apartment building) – or just sing walking through the streets. These past few days, as thoughts and conversations have taken place, I realize how blessed I am to have such beautiful friends in my life. Friends I see all the time, Friends I speak to on occasion, and Friends who are but a sweet memory. Each and every one is someone special in my heart, and I know, if I ever needed one of them, they would be there, and I hope they feel the same for me. One of the most difficult things I have found in my life, a pattern that I created long ago, is to ask for help. I have been learning to change that pattern over the last 10 years. It is not always something I am comfortable with, receiving, but oh does it feel good knowing, I can reach out and I’ve got a friend. I want ALL my friends, new, old and yet to be, to know, that you have got a friend in me. Sometimes just knowing adds a sense of comfort and security, then all we need to do is just be.
12.12.12 is going to be a powerful day… let’s support each other at 12 noon with our positive energy, compassion and love… There is still time to join the tele-meditation – but whether you can join the meditation or not, take a moment to breathe and connect.. It Will Make A Difference!
You’ve Got A Friend ~

Pay It Forward, Reach Out and Touch Somebody’s Heart

I will never forget one of my lessons learned in my Feng Shui Certification course.. We were learning about the life areas connected to the “Bagua” the Map of Our Space.. The very popular area known as “Wealth, Prosperity” was then presented as “Fortunate Blessings” . I was familiar with the notion of placing objects in that area to create wealth, you see before I began my certification course, I bought every book I could find about Feng Shui, my favorites were the colorful books with lots of photos and all kinds of promises to pace things in special areas to generate “happenings”. But books can’t speak to you … and I really resonated with this different perspective of connecting to an experience, Fortunate Blessings..

Give without expectation, Give which you find most precious and you will receive your rewards in abundance.. This says it all…

So today is about giving – paying it forward. The song which came into my mind –
“Reach Out & Touch Somebody’s Hand” “Make this a better place, Yes! you can”

Smile when you catch someone’s eyes, hold the door, pay for the person behind you in line’s coffee.. be gentle in your thoughts and spirits, reach out and touch someone’s heart today..

The Process of Change – I’m Feeling Nothing??

When we are going through a process of change, it is very typical that we can have expectations of what this process of change will feel like. We can get so focused on the expectation; we can become immune to what is actually happening. Have you ever felt like you were holding your breath, waiting for something to happen…well, you were! Sometimes, I find myself, holding my breath- did I think it will help my concentration…connect me to what I was doing? ha ha ha… quite the opposite.. Everything just stopped, my shoulders were up in my ears, my body became tense.. So what to do – Take a Breath ~ Ahh… just breathe…feel your body relax, connect to what you ARE feeling, if you think it is nothing, well that is just a label. If we notice without expectation, we find we ARE feeling something!

When I first had this conversation with myself, the song “Nothing” from “A Chorus Line” came into my head ~ the message for me is, we all feel things differently ~we are all different in our own unique way, perfect for who we are~ a reminder not to compare ourselves to others ~ Enjoy Being!

It only takes a moment to become inspired”
