Gratitude and the 3 Legged Frog

May You Receive Infinite Blessings of Love Peace and Joy Today, Tomorrow and Always.

Thanksgiving reminds me, why wait for a holiday to be grateful, create the feng shui message to feel it every day.
Remember, I have told you that our homes and offices are our living visions boards.

Create the vision you want in your life.

One of my favorite feng shui lessons in gratitude and fortunate blessings talks about the life of a 3 legged frog.

My favorite version of the story goes something like this:
Once upon a time there was a 3 legged frog who found himself at the bottom of a well. Calling out “help me, help me please” with hopes someone would come to his rescue, a passing farmer heard his cries and proceeded to lower the bucket down into the well to retrieve the frog. Once the farmer brought the frog to safety, the farmer smiled and continued on his way.

The next morning the farmer awoke to find gold coins under his pillow, which appeared again every day for the rest of his life. The moral of the story is, when we give without expectation, we are rewarded with infinite fortunate blessings.

Icons are part of Feng Shui symbolism, a popular icon is this 3 legged frog. It is recommended to place this”3 legged frog” in the prosperity/ fortunate blessings corner of your home and you will attract prosperity.
These icons are typically carved in wood or stone and are sitting on a pile of coins with one coin sticking out if its mouth.

*My “prosperity corner” is my “fortunate blessings area”
*Every time I see this area, spend time in the area, I am reminded of my fortunate blessing, which I am grateful.

*Whichever icon I choose to place in this area of my home and my office, it is a reminder for me to give without expectation and to be grateful for all the fortunate blessings I have already received.

What are some icons that connect with your feelings of gratitude and fortunate blessings?

You may resonate with the 3 Legged Frog or find your own story.

I would love to hear from you… please share.

Don’t Believe A Word I Say ! Find Out For Yourself

“Don’t believe a word I say! Find out for yourself.”
Very wise words from my very wise teacher Eric Dowsett.
I quote Eric all the time, but do I listen to what I am saying?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

I tend to view my teachers with a sense of awe ~ I forget they are people too, just like me and you!

This reminds me of one of my favorite stories – you may have heard this:
A newlywed woman was excited to cook her first ham for her husband.
He watched her prepare the ham for the oven observing she cut off both ends of the ham, then placed the ham in the roasting pan.
Her husband asked “why did you cut off the ends?
Wife replied, “that’s how my Mom always did it.”
So they called her Mom, Mom said “that’s how my Mom always did it.”
Next they called Grandma, and
Grandma said “because my pan was too small for the ham!”

A perfect story to remind us to find out for ourselves.

I do my research for the most part, but this is something I didn’t fact check.
I understood that “Mala Beads” or “Prayer Beads” had the same number of beads as “Catholic Rosary Beads.”
Well that is not the case as one of my students recently pointed out.

My research findings:
Mala Beads have 108, 27 4 times with a spacer between each 27 and large “guru bead” at the bottom with a tassel.
Mala Beads are used to count “Mantras” in “Japa Meditation” (Reciting Meditation)
“Rosary Beads” have 59 beads made of in sets of ten Hail Mary’s” called “decades’. The “Hail Mary” is said on the ten beads within a decade, while the “Lord’s Prayer” is said on the large bead before each decade and followed by 1 “Glory Be”.
Both Mala Beads and Rosary Beads serve the same purpose, a method to count the words of the mantras or prayers said.

Interesting findings, but most of a reminder to do your own research.
Follow up and find out what is right for you.. Don’t believe a word I say!

Manifesting with The Harvest Moon

Lois Manifesting Ritual for  Full Moon Activation September 24

Items you will need: paper, pen, crystal – I choose Tiger’s Eye for Harvest Moon, Selenite wand, Candle ( optional )

Find a place where you can be quiet and comfortable.
Safely light your candle.
Hold your tiger eye crystal
Have your pad and pen ready for your inspiration.
Ground yourself with 3 deep cleansing breaths.
Close your eyes.
Allow your imagination to open.
Feel your 6th chakra, your third eye open ( in the center of your forehead) See the indigo jewel before you.
Visualize your hearts desires clearly.

Gently Open Your Eyes

Write the words:
“ I Manifested …
begin listing each idea, desire dream in the present tense as if it has already happened.

Use the Selenite Wand to seal the vibrations in your energy field and create a filter to maintain the presence.

On September 24, place your paper on the windowsill to capture to moonlight to activate your desires. Feel the connection you have created with the moon, it has no affect whether or not you can actually “see” the moon.

End with a Manifestation Prayer:
“Full Moon I am Grateful to Receive your light to activate my hearts desires.  May your energy assist me for my greatest good beyond what I know.  With Love and Gratitude, Peace.”

Fun With Maria Mirkovich on Family Today

I had so much fun with Maria taping her show “Family Today with Maria Mirkovich”

Enjoy!

Harvest Prayer

I have learned through my Feng Shui and Clearing studies that giving away which you find most precsious  without expecting anything in return is the greatest gift of all.

When we stop judging ourselves, we have nothing left to judge, we can open our hearts, be compassion, love peace and joy.

This poem speaks volumes.

Enjoy

Harvest Prayer ~ Anonymous 17th Century Sermon

Please be GENTLE with yourself & others

We are all children of chance

And none can say why some fields blossom

While others lay brown beneath the harvest sun

Take HOPE that your season will come

Share the JOY of those whose season is at hand

CARE for those around you

Look past your differences

Their dreams are no less than yours

Their choices in life no more easily made

And GIVE

Give in any way you can

Give in every way you can

Give whatever you possess

Give from your heart

To give is to LOVE

To withhold is to whither

Care less for the size of your harvest

Than for how it is shared

And your life will have meaning

And your heart will have peace

Always Remember, that’s what friends are for…

We have a powerful weekend upon us.
Thursday September 19 we have our full moon

Saturday Sept 21 is International Day of Peace,

Sunday Sept 22 the Harvest Moon bringing in the Autumn Equinox,

Many of you will be celebrating with us on Friday Sept 20 to honor these events.

A song came to into my awareness that brings to mind, relationships, communication, and our love for each other.

A reminder we need not keep score, just enjoy our moments of friendship with our dearest both near and far.

Tell A Friend You Love Them..

When we have peace in our hearts, we can have peace in the world.

Everyone of us makes a difference.

Rise Up

The events beginning last week, leading to today have been wonderful causes to celebrate, opening our awareness to be grateful for all our bounty..

Monday Sept 17 brought us the Jewish New Year, leading to Friday Sept 21 International Day of Peace & we welcomed the Autumn Equinox as it arrived Saturday.

Today for the Jewish community the highest of holy days Yom Kippur.
Chinese Moon Festival arrives Sept 29 here  (Sept 30 in China) –

All celebrations of our harvest, together with family and friends.

My Friend Charlotte Chandler Stone of

Stone Yoga in Teaneck sent this message, it touched me so, I want to share it with all of you…

“May the light of understanding guide our thoughts.

May the light of truth enrich our words.

May the light of loving kindness illumine our hearts.

May we become instruments of peace.

May we live with purpose, and help heal the world.”
Thank you Charlotte

I feel inspired, I hear Josh Groban singing
listen to his brilliance, connect to what inspires you to “rise up.”
Peace…

“Sometimes the things we least expect bring our brightest inspiration.

It only takes a moment to take a breath,

It only takes a moment to become inspired”
