Gratitude in the Face of Frustration, by Lois Kramer-Perez, C.Ht.

Here we are in the month of November, a time of harvest, sharing & gratitude.

As I look around enjoying the shift in seasons, taking in the magic of autumn here in the northeast, just when I thought I had seen it all,
pow – here comes something else.
We are constantly finding chaos around us, some minor, some major, some chaos is part of our doing & some is out of our control.
How often do you find yourself frustrated, annoyed or even angry at the state of the world?
How can you feel gratitude in the face of so much unrest?

In the best of times there will always be something triggering our emotions.

Here are some things to remember:
You are only responsible for you. You do not have the “power” to “fix” anyone.
You do have the power to take care of yourself, to become grounded, to find your peace & your gratitude. You deserve this and more.
You do have the power to be compassionate, kind, and caring: first to yourself, then your capacity to be for others is greatly enhanced.

How to get started? How to get out of all the noise?
Begin with you.
Find a quiet place, sit comfortably and be with yourself, take this time to “notice.”
Focus on the moment, find 3 things you are grateful for right now & experience the feeling.
Example: I am grateful to sit here comfortably. I am grateful to see the sunshine/moonlight/clouds/raindrops. I am grateful I can feel this gratitude and peace within me.

The world is filled with peace, chaos, gratitude, resentment, joy, sadness, hope & despair. It can be challenging to not get swept away in all these emotions.

Everyday life can pull you in all directions. The more you can manage daily life, the stronger your foundation of grounding becomes. You have a greater capacity to feel gratitude & be compassionate when you are grounded.
You will be surprised how one small thing can make a difference.

This is what happened recently happened to me.

I got in my car to go to a workshop at a place I have never been, with people I had not yet met.
As I began to drive, I noticed something smelled! Sniff sniff, is it me? Do I have body odor?
This is bad. I look down in the cup holder & I see remnants of onion salsa – Oy! My boyfriend drove my car yesterday – this is what he leaves me? Now I am fuming! I am going to stink & bring this stink into a new place, meeting new people – how horrifying!

Then it hit me, I must be in a “Seinfeld episode.” There was an episode of the show “Seinfeld” where the parking attendant contaminated ‘Jerry’s car” with a pungent odor. Everyone who drove or rode in his car came out smelling! I started to laugh silly – I must be “Elaine”.  By the time I reached my destination, I was feeling wonderful, grateful to enjoy the day, rather than show up in a fowl angry mood.  Feeling grateful I didn’t bring the “stink” into the room with me. Feeling grateful to enjoy a wonderful workshop, learning new things, meeting new people.

This could have gone another way; I could have continued to get angry at a situation I had no control over. A minor event could have distracted me to a point where I was more concerned about “me” rather than grateful for this enjoyable opportunity.  Has something like this ever happened to you?  I am sure it has.

Learning to do the best you can in any situation can change the dynamic of the outcome.

Your biggest influence on others is much more than the words you say, it is how you are “being”.
How do you want to influence those around you? Be grateful for where you are, what you have, who you “be.” You will find it all coming back to you in abundance!

Heal Your Past Embrace Your Present, The Power of Past Life Regression

Lois Kramer-Perez, C.Ht.  Queen of the Shui, Certified in Past Life Regression by Brian Weiss, MD, finds that there is a belief we create our karma from one life to the next. One theory is that you may have agreed to return and find yourself in a similar situation – a family dynamic or particular event. However, that doesn’t mean that you automatically are destined to experience the same pain, abuse, fear, destructive, challenging behavior, or situation. You have the free will to choose how to experience what is happening. Your lesson is in learning to choose the healthy path for your greatest good now.

Why consider experiencing a Past Life Regression? You may have felt a sense of familiarity when visiting a new place or meeting someone for the first time. Maybe you find yourself repeating certain patterns in your life or having recurring dreams that feel very real. A Past Life Regression session seeks to uncover the root of these experiences by exploring past lives, past years, and past days to understand the connection between them.

As you explore the possibilities, not only do you have the free will to choose, but all the people who have chosen to return to the same lifetime also have free will. Your healthy beneficial choice may bring a benefit to those in your circle at that time. Every time you clear a pattern or behavior in your life, you are automatically influencing the people connected with you just by being you. The potential to repeat a pattern will always exist – however, it is not written in stone – but more like written in sand with the potential to re-write the story as you choose, whenever you choose, over and over again to serve your highest good.

The process used in a past life regression session is a mindful guided relaxation, allowing the subconscious mind to be open to information, allowing messages, images, feelings, senses, and memories to surface. In a conscious state, the logical brain wants to make sense of & control your thoughts, reaction, and current behavior patterns. As you begin your Past Life Regression Journey, your subconscious mind will be your guide and support your power of free will to choose without getting caught up in “story” or search to make sense, thereby missing the point.

When reviewing a past life or significant memory, it is important to understand that placing 2023 values or beliefs on a situation that happened in another time – either past, simultaneous, or future – is not the purpose. The point is to find freedom. You may revisit one “situation” multiple times, or you may have multiple “situations” in one session. There is no right or wrong. Everyone has their own unique experiences.

During your session, “doors” will open for you – déjà vu, geographical, imagination, fantasy, and memory. This is soul work, lessons in forgiveness, releasing judgment, & owning your power to make a new choice. Before you proceed with your session, you will be guided to connect with your higher self – your best, most supportive part of you – to help you receive the best out of this process for your greatest good, even beyond your knowing.

Schedule Your Private Session. Lois guides you on a journey to uncover, unravel, or release past experiences that may be affecting your present life. raising your levels of consciousness

Navigating The Stages Consciousness by Lois Kramer-Perez, C.Ht.

I’m so used to taking my shoes off when I come into the house that one day, wearing my slippers, I went outside to check the mail and then I took my slippers off before I came inside, as if I was wearing shoes! It seemed funny that I was so imprinted with the action: enter house – shoes come off. This was so ingrained in how I did things without even thinking about it, that it brought to mind how many things do we do automatically?  How many times do we respond to others automatically without being aware of what we are saying?

When I began this journey, I began noticing how people would acknowledge each other walking through a hallway. I worked in a corporate setting, there were always people passing each other the hallways throughout the day, greeting each other with “Hi, how are you? Hi, how are you?” People would say “Hi, how are you?”, and the response would be: “Hi how are you?”
No one paused to say “Great!” or “Eh!”, The automatic response conversation was: “Hi, how are you? Hi, how are you?”

And I am sure you have experienced this:  stuff happens, and we automatically growl “GRRRRrrr!” or say: “I’m so stupid!”, “ugh! I can’t believe this” or old phrases that we have that are outdated.

This happens. And then there are the times that your routine is disrupted! Every day you get in your car, turn left and get onto Rt 17 North. Then one day, you realize, after you have been driving on Rt 17 North for a minute – yikes –how did I get here – I am going somewhere else today!

It’s as if you were in a trance.

Once you “wake-up” you realize, some of these patterns are keeping you from being present. When you notice you have done something unconsciously, that is the time to begin your shift. This happens in stages.
You become conscious of something and don’t do anything about it.
The next time you notice, you’re a little more aware.

Finally, you think about doing something and choose to do it differently.
Now you are creating a new pattern to be more present.
Your path to consciousness happens in stages.

My “Pal Al” Einstein said: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”.

You are always in a place where you are supposed to be. When you are ready for awareness it comes up to bite you to catch your attention.

Here is a simple way to look at the concept of consciousness.

1.” Unconsciously Incompetent”, you don’t know what you don’t know. Ignorance.
Example: You are a child, and for the first time you see people driving cars. Wow! Look at that! Something I have never seen before.

  1. Consciously Incompetent”: You are aware of something you want to know, something you want to change. Desire.
Example: You are older, and you are curious, you are aware that you do not know how to drive a car.
  2. Consciously Competent”: You are taking conscious actions to change your state. Example: You are 16 years old and can get your drivers permit. You take driving lessons. Each time you get in the car, you take time to get acclimated, put on your seat belt, start the engine, focus on placing your hands on the wheel, check the mirrors, take a deep breath, and begin to drive. Each action is thoughtful.
  3. 4. “Unconsciously Competent”: You Just Know! It Becomes Second Nature. Knowing. Example: You get in the car and drive.

These are the four stages of becoming aware.
This is happening all the time. It is how we navigate through everything.

We all have our own, unique timetable for our journey and wherever we are is where we are supposed to be.
And if we do look back and say “Wow, if I would have known what I know now, I could have, blah blah blah.”
No! You were not supposed to know anything except where you were at that time. How can you be expected to know what you don’t know?  You were in stage 1: Unconsciously Incompetent..
You’re meant to do the best you can with where you are at the moment. Honor yourself as you go through your journey, one step, one chapter, one stage at a time.
Celebrate each stage of awareness. You will begin to see that where you are right now, may not have fit too well into your life 10 years ago, 5 years ago, 1 year ago or 1 week ago.
Where you are now is what’s important. How you are relating to what’s happening around you right now is important. This helps you to keep moving forward.

As you evolve, you begin to see things through a different lens. Somethings you may have seen one way, all of a sudden change – it’s as if one morning, you open your eyes and notice wow – now I get it!

Embrace the moment where you are. Get excited when you realize you find yourself in
stage 1: Unconsciously Incompetent – because you know the best is yet to come.

Explore replacing expectation with fascination.

feng shui refrigerator
Clarity is an Inside Job! by Lois Kramer-Perez, C.Ht. Certified NAP,NLP, Feng Shui Pratitioner

It has been quite the experience spending so much time “inside” the past few months.
How much are you aware of the “stuff” surrounding you?

What designates the quality of your stuff?
It is a very personal relationship, this relationship between you and your “stuff”.
Do you love it? Does it make you smile, your heart sing? Does it motivate and inspire?

Or is it clutter?
Clutter can the “stuff” that you see that gives you an uneasy feeling.

Or the “stuff” you find yourself stepping over or twisting your body to get around it.

Clutter is the “stuff” that stops you for “doing.”

Guess what…  there is another kind of clutter – the kind that also affects both your mind and body. The “stuff” that you do not see.

Do you find yourself saying “I don’t like this but I don’t notice it anymore,” or “do you walk into a room and don’t understand why you feel distracted or uneasy?

Or – this one happens to me: I am sitting at my desk and I cannot seem to focus, but everything I can see is in its place.

The truth is just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t distracting you.

Even if you do not see it, or decide not to notice it, there is a part inside of you absorbing everything.
Everything is energy. You may be even more sensitive than you realize.

Feng Shui Principles have proven that your closets, drawers, and storage spaces connect to your subconscious.

Begin exploring the places you find yourself visiting every day:

Your underwear drawer, the bathroom cabinet where your toothbrush and cleansers are stored, the silverware drawer, kitchen dish and cup cabinet, the closet you visit daily and ta-daa – the refrigerator!

I just replaced my refrigerator light bulbs and wow – what a difference, it feels so happy when I open the door.

You have heard me say “Create Fabulous Firsts,” that is my number one Feng Shui tip. This tip includes what you see and what your eyes do not see.

So, the next time you are feeling distracted, and it is not obviously in front of you, begin to explore your hidden places.
Spending just 10 minutes organizing your silverware drawer can do wonders.
I know, it certainly works for me!

OOoooo what a little Feng Shui can do for you!
Clear your space and clear your mind. That’s Fabulous Feng Shui.

Don’t Believe A Word I Say ! Find Out For Yourself

“Don’t believe a word I say! Find out for yourself.”
Very wise words from my very wise teacher Eric Dowsett.
I quote Eric all the time, but do I listen to what I am saying?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

I tend to view my teachers with a sense of awe ~ I forget they are people too, just like me and you!

This reminds me of one of my favorite stories – you may have heard this:
A newlywed woman was excited to cook her first ham for her husband.
He watched her prepare the ham for the oven observing she cut off both ends of the ham, then placed the ham in the roasting pan.
Her husband asked “why did you cut off the ends?
Wife replied, “that’s how my Mom always did it.”
So they called her Mom, Mom said “that’s how my Mom always did it.”
Next they called Grandma, and
Grandma said “because my pan was too small for the ham!”

A perfect story to remind us to find out for ourselves.

I do my research for the most part, but this is something I didn’t fact check.
I understood that “Mala Beads” or “Prayer Beads” had the same number of beads as “Catholic Rosary Beads.”
Well that is not the case as one of my students recently pointed out.

My research findings:
Mala Beads have 108, 27 4 times with a spacer between each 27 and large “guru bead” at the bottom with a tassel.
Mala Beads are used to count “Mantras” in “Japa Meditation” (Reciting Meditation)
“Rosary Beads” have 59 beads made of in sets of ten Hail Mary’s” called “decades’. The “Hail Mary” is said on the ten beads within a decade, while the “Lord’s Prayer” is said on the large bead before each decade and followed by 1 “Glory Be”.
Both Mala Beads and Rosary Beads serve the same purpose, a method to count the words of the mantras or prayers said.

Interesting findings, but most of a reminder to do your own research.
Follow up and find out what is right for you.. Don’t believe a word I say!

“Tra La La I Gaily Sing Because It’s Spring, Because It’s Spring!” Random Thoughts – Or Are They?

“Tra La La I Gaily Sing Because It’s Spring, Because It’s Spring!”

This was the line I had in my 3rd grade school play – my very first time on stage. I can recall the excitement of saying those words as I carried my basket of plastic flowers, skipping along, so proud in my new dress.
I was so happy my Mom bought me the perfect dress- sleeveless, tiny blue and white checks, with a fold over boat neckline and 3 rows of ruffles on the bottom!

How did she find such a perfect dress? I was on top of the world.

As I enjoy this memory, I wonder how it is possible to recall every moment?
I do not have any photos, I never wrote it down, it just seemed to appear.

What triggered this memory?
Could it be that spring was officially a day away?

How often do random thoughts pop into our mind, along with feelings, emotions and all that comes along?
How often do we realize the significance of these random thoughts and connect the feelings that come along with them?

We may not pay any attention at all to those thoughts or recognize the connection.
We may decide that feeling we are claiming is what we are – when in fact it could be a memory triggered by a sound, a scent, a song, a color, a situation that feels so familiar.

How about this?
The next time you get a random thought, pause, notice how it feels and what memory comes to mind.

Some we may love, some not so much, but whatever message we receive is an opportunity to embrace all of who we are and have the potential to be.

Embrace the joy, heal the hurt.

First, we must notice, then the journey begins.

I would love to hear your random thoughts.

IT’S NOT MINE! TOOLS FOR MANAGING STRESS IN DAILY LIFE

“It’s Not Mine!”
Uh-Oh- I notice a feeling – all of a sudden, it’s the feeling of impatience – but wait a moment, I am having a great day, where did this come from? It must be information my body is noticing.
Any feeling we have ever experienced is a vibration our body remembers.
We are human tuning forks, so it makes sense when we are in a remembered vibration we are triggered, those are the subtle signals.

How about when we are in the midst of a discussion and the other person is emotional, or we are next to someone who is afraid – vibrating terror – yep – we connect with those too.

This happened to me, although I didn’t know it at the time. Sitting next to my 5-year-old sister in a blackout, with just a flashlight between us, she began to cry. So, her 9-year-old big sister, me- started crying too.
Before I knew it we were both wailing in terror! My dad came running in “what’s wrong?” All I could do was sob “I don’t know” I recall I was feeling really scared. I now know my sisters fear triggered mine,

We have the ability to change emotional patterns in our life.
We can learn to manage the stress we are bombarded with in our daily lives.
The first step is changing our relationship to these charges of energy we feel which show up as emotions, triggered by events, others, scents or even sounds. I am sure we have all experienced walking into a room and noticing it feels a bit chilly, as if an argument had just taken place, or sense that something just doesn’t feel right.

Our bodies respond to information based on what it knows, for instance – if we feel the emotion of impatience, our body will recall chemicals flooding throughout our body supporting that feeling. The more we confirm the feeling of impatience – the stronger the support becomes.
We then decide that we are impatient.

That is our reaction.

We do this all day long, unaware it may not even be our experience, but someone else’s.
Our reaction has us believe that We Are that feeling, impatience, we then begin to “judge” how we are feeling, which only strengthens the impatience, creating distraction.

This reaction happens in an instant.

As we change our experience noticing and responding to these feelings, we become aware.
We have the ability to use new tools to begin moving from “reacting” to “responding”

Here are a few tips to get you started:
First: Notice the feeling that arises and how your body is responding – do not judge it, become aware that this is just information, it is not who you are, it doesn’t define you, you are not that feeling.
Acknowledge you have felt this feeling before, and you will feel it again in your lifetime. Notice, this is just how your body responds to this particular information. Take 2 deep breaths.

Second: Redirect your thoughts: Replace the thought with something positive: such as:
This feels like frustration, but I am not frustrated, my body is responding to this situation based on its familiar reaction. Now that this is done, I feel relieved, clear and grounded, all of those distractions from this situation are gone. I am focused, I feel positive, I am refreshed, and I am grounded and clear.

Do Not Judge Yourself, Be Gentle With Yourself… As we practice noticing these feelings little by little, we can begin to reduce the intensity of the feeling and shorten the duration of the experience, little by little, breath by breath. We soon find that we can notice these feelings without becoming distracted or overwhelmed. We enjoy our new relationship with all of our feelings through awareness. Life best enjoyed as we are participating and experiencing.

“A Shoe In ~ Or A Shoe Off? That Is The Question”

A Shoe-In or A Shoe-Off! That is the question!

I am sure you have your unique patterns, actions that are automatic, things you do without thinking, day after day, month after month, year after year…

The more you do it, the stronger it becomes.
It happens without a conscious thought.

I’ll share one of my “automatic patterns” ~ I don’t wear “outside shoes” inside my home.
The first thing I do when I come inside is take off my shoes.
I have my slippers waiting, and sometimes just walk barefoot.
For my guests I have a basket of assorted clean and cozy slippers.
The other day, wearing my special “inside” purple slippers, I stepped outside the front door for a moment, a few minutes later, I noticed I was bare-footed!
Without even thinking, because I had stepped outside, when I came in I took off my “shoes.”

We create these automatic patterns all the time.
Think about the things you do, the thoughts you have, the things you say,  without a conscious awareness.

If you created it ~ you can change it!

In the meantime, begin noticing your automatic patterns !
Are they a shoe-in for what you desire?
Or is it time to take the shoe off!!
If you are interested in taking that “outdated shoe off” and replacing it with a “new shoe on ” you can join me at one of my guided clearing meditation classes, my personal clearing class or experience a past life regression.
https://loiskramerperez.com/my-events/     https://loiskramerperez.com/wwm/meditation-class/

Oh yes… I did wear my slippers out to Dunkin Donuts one day ~ another moment being lost in the thoughts
Sunshine and the Rainy Day Jar

Its a beautiful day to capture the sunshine in my “rainy day jar”.  I don’t know about you, but when there are too many long grey days, I find my chi (energy) evaporating. I created this “rainy day jar” to lift my chi with laughter sunshine sparkle and all things that activate happy!

The sun has come out after many grey days, so I wanted to honor my inner light and charge up this jar with sunshine and crystal chi.

Today I added some sparkling faceted crystals and amazing amethyst

to my shells, gumby and rainbow troll.

I am reminded on this glorious sunny days to pay attention to all things which lift me.

As I find these things along the way, I add them to the jar to brighten my day.

Here is my guide to create your own “Rainy Day Jar”

Find a glass jar or bowl which you love. I have been scouring antique shops for crystal candy dishes.

Look around and see what you have that lifts you up:
Sea shells, sand, crystals, photos of people, places or things.
You can think of this as a “vision jar” by placing your dreams in the jar.
Cotton balls for fluffy clouds, cut out a smiling sun
Words of Inspiration
Use your imagination.

Place the items in the jar, smiling and feeling the uplifting joy as you do.
Remember a story connected with each item as you touch it.
Experience your feelings with joy.

Place the jar where you can see it everyday, reminding you of the joy in your life.
Inspiring you to add more joy to the jar as you feel it.

Now that’s Fabulous Feng Shui!

I would love to hear your inspirations for your “Rainy Day Jar”

peace in every breath

Have Fabulous Feng Shui Everyday ~ And the dish ran away with the spoon!

Here is my holiday story for you.

My friend Betsy gave me this lovely peace sign door ornament. It is made from tiny bells, it doesn’t jingle too much, it has a festive feeling but most of all it makes me smile. When I see this peace sign I think about my friend,

peace in every breath

fabulous front door feng shui every day

how grateful I am to know her, how much fun we have together, how we inspire each other. I also am reminded to feel peace in every breath.

There is a part of me that connects to these feelings when I see this peace sign.
For each thought, there is a feeling. I am now anchoring an experience to looking at this peace sign. This anchor is creating these feelings whenever I see this peace sign. I do not need to do anything consciously, I automatically begin to smile and breathe peace in every cell.

Awesome stuff ~ right!

Guess what happened next ~ One day the peace sign disappeared. One moment it was on the door ~then next it was gone.

I looked everywhere. It was as if it vanished into thin air…  There was a feeling of frustration in the air!

I let it go, and every so often I would look around once more to see if I could find it.

I replayed the scene in my mind, to see what I could find that would give me a clue to where the peace sign had gone. I remembered I was taking out all the paper recycle materials. At the time, we did check the bags that were going out the door, nothing.

Whenever I would come home, I would think about that peace sign and how much I missed it. I googled and shmoogled everywhere to see if I could replace it. Nothing.

Then I just let it go.

Here is what happened next.

After another fabulous weekend away, enjoying nature, breathing peace into every cell. Feeling fulfilled by just being, I came home to find the peace sign back on the door once more.  Tom found it in the garage. We have no idea how it got there.

All of a sudden my light went on inside ~ I knew then it was not until I was aligned with peace inside of me that, my peace would show up once more on the outside. The day the peace sign ran away I can recall expressing frustration and irritability, certainly not the energy of peace.

I talk about this all the time, how we are human tuning forks attracting the frequencies which we are vibrating. This is a perfect example how our energy can change our experience. How “hey diddle diddle will cause the dish to run away with the spoon”! For whatever reason this is the rhyme that keeps showing up when these things happen, reminding me not to take myself so seriously, get out of those cranky pants, get up, laugh and dance!

So now all is well, peace is back in action, singing along a favorite song.  Let’s use this holiday spirit to share peace and every breath and love in every heart.

Put a little love in your heart.. and the world will be a better place and the dish will come home with the spoon!
