Gratitude & Inspiration

I have been thinking a lot about gratitude and inspiration these past few weeks. What has come to mind are the people in my life as they inspired me from the very beginning. It is as if I am connecting through my roots, my foundation. I can feel my Root Chakra, at the base of my spine, sparkling like a Ruby Jewel. What arises into my awareness is my younger sister, as a child, as I recall her giggles, her spirit, her smile with a twinkle in her eye. She was Fearless! There was no place she would not explore, no person to whom she would not speak. Wow, I was in awe, what could it feel like to be so spontaneous, so happy go-lucky. But, there was another side to her, like thunder-she could explode and throw a quite a jarring tantrum one moment, and then, as quickly as it appeared, (once she got her message across) it would be over.
Now as I recall these expressions, with the knowledge I have gained along my journey- my sister was expressing the energy of “3” Tree! That burst of early morning springtime, a spontaneous, fearless risk-taker, with a side of “Thunder”. I, on the other hand, expressed the Water” child, emotional, shy, & watery, becoming frozen with fear of the things I didn’t understand, or if they were just too “scary” – such as elevators, “big people”, swimming in a pool or ocean. I loved to be near the water, just was too afraid to jump in! Earning the nick-name “Sara Burnheart” or being accused of “Crying Crocodile Tears” only sent me deeper into watery emotions.

I am grateful for both experiences, my sister inspired me to want to experience being care-free spontaneous & fearless. Understanding the watery expressions I had as a child, gives me a wonderful appreciation of my ability to daydream, get lost in my thoughts and connect to my emotions. I also realize it was no wonder I enjoyed my modern dance classes in those early years of 7 & 8 , rolling around the floor as waves in the ocean or twirling around like ribbons in the wind.
I may not have expressed it to my little sister at the time, but I am so grateful that she is my inspiring little sister.

Sweet Indulgence of Joy

Holiday Season is Really Here!
How are you experiencing it?

With lights ablaze from the Christmas Trees & Menorahs – I am finding a very different experience this season.
The undertone of the element water – the element of winter, gives me a sense of floating amidst the firey excitement & flurry.
It is quite a nice sensation to feel these layers &  express each of them as they
embrace me.
Quite an indulgence to express each element, I can be  floating as water, dreaming & thinking, pensive & fluid…
Then spark like a flame, the excitement of lights, laughter & dancing alight..

Yes, the Sweet Indulgence to Experience with Joy this Holiday Season

Embrace the  Joy!

Intention

How do you manifest your intentions?

Have you noticed once you have set your intentions – conscious or unconsciously they manifest accordingly?

If you change your course mid-stream – what happens?

Well have I got some stories for you!

If you are in the flow when you set you intention then it is set at a cellular level.

Once that pattern is set, there is nothing to do but just be and allow the rest to happen.

I decided I needed an ipod… I felt the experience of “not lugging” my boom box to my classes, but simply having an ipod loaded with the various background sounds used in my meditation classes.. yes, I really felt the experience, over & over. The following week I received a call that the raffle ticket I had from a recent birthday gift, won an ipod nano!

Here is another twist to this intention… I needed some dental work, so I committed to proceeding, I made the appointment, but the more I thought about it, the more I didn’t want to experience that proceedure. But… I kept feeling it, as if it were happening… nothing was gonna stop this train ride… before I could turn around, & reschedule the appointment for a later date… something happened to that tooth, that forced me to proceed as planned.

In both cases as I thought about these situations, I felt them as if they were happening. I was the star of this movie, & I felt everything as it happened. The more I thought about these situations, the more deeply I set the intentions.

So remember this the next time you are daydreaming, if you feel it….experience it.. it just might  manifest..

Dream, Dream Dream… your intentions, bask in the feelings… and watch what happens!

A State of Grace

I notice that the word “Grace” keeps coming into my awareness.  During these moments I find I am in a quiet, simple, state.  Feeling like a breath, very still, yet very fluid, effortlessly in motion, as if I am viewing from afar. I guess this is what is meant by being in a state of “Grace”…..  I enjoy this feeling and am so grateful it found me.Or did I find “Grace”

I checked out the definition – as I am curious how it is defined, because for me “Grace” is one of those words that evokes emotion, a state of being, I like being in a state of grace..

I have pasted the definition below and I can relate to the words that describe this feeling, elegance, fluidity, LOVE…

I wish you all find your state of “Grace”

When Mother Nature Gives Us A Nudge.. It Is Time To Listen

We have a very special day upon this week  11.11.11
The time to capture the opportunity to release old patterns within us that are ready to go
As we let go we then have capacity for change, opening our awareness for continuing our transformation.

Didn’t Mother Nature Give Us A Hint 2 Weeks Ago –
I can say she pruned quite a bit of my trees…
….leading me be reminded to prune some of my thoughts, old belief patterns, old stuff that is no longer relevant.
Yes we can change our patterns, in our behavior, in our relationship within ourselves, in how we live each moment, each day
all we have to do is begin.

Now is the time to focus on the brilliant, the new, & capture the excitement of manifesting what we know our lives can truly be.

Simplify ~

When you feel the need to simplify ~ look to nature, take a breath…..  Clear crisp autumn days offer a simple beauty that can cleanse the soul. Become aware of how you are feeling so that you can capture the simplicity of the energy around you.

Spending the weekend at the beach, sitting on a bench on the dunes, feeling the crisp breeze,  the sounds of the ocean waves reminded me to take a breath, smile and simplify.

Today I continue to allow the beauty of the day to arise in my awareness, with the windows open simply connecting to the energy of the clear crisp day… ahhh the energy of metal, brings focus, the ability to simply control, effortlessly move all that is needed to completion.

Lovely October Autumn Days

Still Feelin’ It! The air is crisp and clean ~ precise ~ In the world of Feng Shui Autumn is related to the element Metal – which is precise, controlled, also a time of completion, a contracting energy. We witness the splendor of the trees transforming from their lush green to the vibrant colors of gold, red, orange before they turn to dust and go back into the earth….
A good time for us to become precise, clear and be sure to get outside to enjoy the splendors of nature. As Metal can be rigid & contracting inward, we should make sure we remain flexible by getting out, expressing joy, laughter, movement
Have Some Fun ~ Put a little fire in your life!
